Introduction to VCS Validation and Verification

The Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) is a category of voluntary greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction standards that are widely used around the world. Having been accredited as a verifier of the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) in 2012 and as a verifier of the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standard (CCB) in 2018, we are able to apply for the issuance of emission reductions from VERRA, the administering body of the VCS and CCB.

At the beginning of 2021, CQC completed the registration and issuance of the first mangrove carbon sink project in China that complies with the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Climate Community Biodiversity Standard (CCB). Up to now, CQC has registered and issued 31 VCS projects, with the types of projects involving carbon sinks for afforestation, logging to protection, forest management, agriculture, wind power, etc. Among them, 14 are renewable energy projects, 14 are agriculture projects, and 14 are renewable energy projects, and 14 are wind power projects.
