GLOBAL Good Agricultural Practices (GLOBALG.A.P.)
Origin:CHINA QUALITY CERTIFICATION CENTRE

Certification Introduction

GLOBAL Good Agricultural Practices (GLOBALG.A.P.), initiated by the non-governmental organization Euro-Retailer Produce Working Group in 1997, involves retailers, agricultural suppliers, and producers in establishing standards for agricultural production. It encompasses comprehensive requirements for traceability of agricultural plantation and cultivation, food safety, environmental protection, employee health, safety and welfare, and animal welfare, which elevates consumer confidence in products with the GLOBALG.A.P. certification and makes the GLOBALG.A.P. as a fundamental requirement for sustainable agricultural development in EU member countries. It has been acknowledged by other sustainable development standards. GLOBALG.A.P. certification is widely regarded as a reliable standard to show both the safety and sustainability of farm produce. Consequently, adhering to GLOBALG.A.P. Control Points and Compliance Criteria (CPCC) enables producers to sell their products locally and globally. GLOBALG.A.P. thereby helps them unlock the global market. The GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance Standards apply to three production scopes: crops (including flowers and ornamentals), livestock and poultry, and aquaculture.
