Recently, the inaugural China-UK Silver Economy Forum, hosted by the UK Department for Business and Trade, was successfully held. With the theme of "Innovation and Future," the forum invited experts from industry and academia from both China and the UK to jointly explore how to address the challenges posed by population aging and seize the opportunities presented by the silver economy. The Modern Service Industry Evaluation Service Operation Center of the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) was invited to attend the forum and participate in a roundtable discussion titled "International Best Practices in Age-Friendly Design."
During the roundtable discussion, the head of the Modern Service Industry Evaluation Service Operation Center of CQC, aligning with the forum's theme, shared insights on the progress of standardization in China's elderly care sector and the specific practices of CQC under the guidance of policies for age-friendly modifications. She emphasized that China attaches great importance to the standardization work in the elderly care sector. As the "national team" for quality services in China, CQC focuses on service evaluations for the elderly and pre-elderly populations, which are key concerns in the silver economy. It has launched the "QSAW Quality Evaluation System for a Better Aging Life," providing strong support for improving the service level of age-friendly modifications.
Looking ahead, CQC will continue to leverage its technological advantages and professional experience, deeply engage in the healthcare and wellness sector, and collaborate with all sectors of society to contribute to the thriving development of the silver economy and the high-quality development of the elderly care cause.
