The China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) has recently revised CQC11-464223-2024 "Safety and Performance Certification Rules for Lithium-Ion Batteries (Cells) for Electric Bicycles" and its accompanying documents, which involves product category 142002. The specific information is as follows:

1. Main Revisions to the Certification Rule

1) A new certification standard for reference has been added: GB 43854-2024 "Safety Technical Specification for Lithium-Ion Batteries for Electric Bicycles."

2) The requirements for supervision sampling have been removed.

3) A new certification model has been introduced: type testing + enterprise quality assurance capability and product consistency inspection (initial factory inspection) + post-certification surveillance.

2. Implementation of the Revised Rule

With this rule revision, enterprises may voluntarily apply for certificate renewal based on their needs. From the date of this announcement, applicants can apply for certification in accordance with the revised implementation rule.
