On September 19, 2024, the "Automotive Certification Alliance - ACEA Smart Connected Vehicle Technology Exchange Conference," co-sponsored by the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) and the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), was successfully held in Shanghai. Nearly 60 experts and representatives from testing bodies such as Shanghai Motor Vehicle Inspection Certification & Tech Innovation Center, China Merchants Testing Vehicle Technology Research Institute, and China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, as well as automobile enterprises from Europe, the United States, and Japan, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, Toyota, and General Motors, attended the conference.
During the event, officials from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, CQC, and Shanghai Motor Vehicle Inspection Certification & Tech Innovation Center provided detailed introductions on Shanghai's innovative practices and demonstration projects in the field of smart connected vehicles, the "Shanghai Model" for local development of smart connected vehicles, the working approach of the Automotive Certification Alliance, the current status of domestic smart connected vehicle technology, the construction of smart connected product standards systems, and the auditing and certification requirements for vehicle information security testing systems.
Experts from ACEA and its member companies shared international insights on smart connected vehicle technology, including relevant policies for the autonomous driving industry in Europe, trends in the development of smart connected vehicle technology and policies in the United States, Japan's autonomous driving industry strategy, and updates on the 2024 Mobility Roadmap in Japan.
During the discussion and exchange sessions, technical experts from CQC provided detailed answers to questions related to smart connected vehicles and certification issues collated by ACEA member companies. Participants engaged in thorough and in-depth discussions on hot topics such as new technologies, standards, regulations, and policies for smart connected vehicles.
This conference facilitated technical exchanges and cooperation among all parties in the field of smart connected vehicle technology, playing a positive role in further advancing related work in automotive product certification.
