On July 28th, the 6th Carbon Market Development Forum, co-organized by CQC and the China Energy Conservation Association, was successfully held in Beijing. Themed "Market Dynamics, Zero-Carbon Future," the forum was attended by prominent leaders and experts including Ma Peihua, former Vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Jiang Peixue, Chairman of the China Energy Conservation Association, Vice President of Tsinghua University, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Du Xiangwan, former Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Liu Yanhua, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Lu Shi Ze, Deputy Director of the Climate Change Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Pan Jiahua, Director of the Carbon Neutralization Professional Committee of the China Energy Conservation Association, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Deputy Director of the National Climate Change Expert Committee, Zhu Yunlai, former President of China International Finance Limited, and Fang Qing, Honorary Director of the Carbon Neutralization Professional Committee of the China Energy Conservation Association. Xu Shaoshan, the Deputy Managing Director of CQC, the head of the Product Certification Department VI attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech.

In his speech, Xu Shaoshan stated that CQC has years of practice and accumulation in the "dual carbon" field. It is one of the first domestic entities authorized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change as a Clean Development Mechanism Designated Operational Entity (DOE), and a VCS+CCB verification and certification body authorized by VERRA. It is also of the first voluntary greenhouse gas reduction project validation and verification bodies released by Certification and Accreditation Administration of China. Over the years, CQC has achieved fruitful results in combat climate change and the construction of the national carbon market. In future, CQC will continue to leverage its technical strength and advantages in carbon audit data assurance and green low-carbon field scientific research innovation. On the basis of ensuring quality and maintaining the bottom line, CQC will further innovate and develop, and better assist enterprises in continuously improving their carbon neutrality levels through certification evaluation and standardization and other NQI measures.

The conference systematically summarized the latest progress of the national carbon emission rights trading market and the national voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction trading market, and conducted in-depth discussions on the development direction and prospects of the construction of the carbon emission rights trading market and the compulsory carbon market system. Additionally, following the "Guidelines for Carbon Neutrality Implementation of Large Activities (Trial)," CQC conducted a verification of the carbon emissions quantification process and carbon neutrality realization process for the event, subsequently issuing a carbon neutrality certificate for the forum.

As the "national team" of quality services, CQC will continue to play a leading role in the "dual carbon" industry chain in the future, and contribute more strength to achieving China's strategic goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
