CQC12-448197-2009 "Certification Rules for Safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility of Commercial and Vehicle Microwave Oven" (hereinafter referred to as "New Rules") has been revised for the third time on August 13, 2024, and will be implemented from the date of this notification, replacing the old rules. The requirements for the implementation of the new rules for safety and electromagnetic compatibility certification of commercial and vehicle microwave oven are as follows:

I. Product Categories Applicable to the New Rules

Product Name: Commercial Microwave Oven, Vehicle Microwave Oven

Referenced Standards: GB4706.1-2005,GB4706.90-2004

Product Types: Electrical safety structure types (types of protection against electric shock, types of waterproof structures, methods of power supply connection), types of power supply (single-phase, three-phase), control methods (mechanical control, electronic control), high voltage circuit forms (power frequency method, frequency conversion method), types (single microwave type, combined type), door opening methods (vertical hinged door, horizontal hinged door), structures (types of protection against electric shock structures, types of waterproof structures, methods of power supply connection, etc.), control methods (mechanical, electronic), and ovens with the same rated volume can be grouped into the same application unit; auxiliary electric heating elements (metal-encased electric heating elements, non-metal-encased electric heating elements, electric heating film or similar film-like electric heating elements, infrared or similar characteristic electric heating elements, other electric heating elements), high voltage circuit forms (with or without high voltage transformers)

II. Requirements for Implementing the New Rules

(1) From the date of this notification, applicants may voluntarily choose to apply for certification according to the new rules.

(2) There is no need to convert old rule certification certificates.

(3) Follow-up inspections for certified products will be conducted based on the standard versions listed in the valid certificates.
