On June 21, the Peruvian National Institute for Quality (INACAL) hosted the 2024 World Accreditation Day event in Lima, the capital of Peru. The conference emphasized the importance of accreditation in creating a prosperous and sustainable future, highlighting it as a crucial tool for fostering consumer confidence. Over 700 relevant experts and delegates from both Peru and abroad attended the event, with Liu Jiang, the Deputy Managing Director of the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC), invited to participate and deliver a keynote speech.
César José Bernabé Pérez, Executive President of INACAL, noted that creating sustainable cities and communities poses significant challenges and opportunities for Peru. The development of such cities and communities can effectively conserve energy and natural resources, positively contribute to reducing carbon dioxide and other pollutant emissions, improve residents' health, and enhance people's well-being.
In his keynote speech delivered online, Liu Jiang focused on the theme of "The Impact of Electric Vehicle Certification on National Economy and Climate Change." He introduced the necessity of electric vehicle certification and its effects on national economies and climate change. Drawing on CQC's experiences and achievements in electric vehicle certification over recent years, Liu Jiang illustrated the dual role that electric vehicles play in economic development and environmental protection. He emphasized that implementing an international mutual recognition mechanism in the electric vehicle sector can effectively promote mutual recognition of new energy products among countries, reduce international trade barriers, and drive industrial upgrading. Liu Jiang called upon all stakeholders to support electric vehicles and related industries, working together to achieve sustainable development in the automotive sector and contribute to creating a better world.
CQC's participation in Peru's 2024 World Accreditation Day event not only strengthened communication and ties between the two countries in the field of conformity assessment but also enhanced CQC's international influence. In the future, CQC will deepen its exchanges and cooperation with INACAL, further strengthening collaboration in areas such as technical regulations and mutual recognition of products, contributing to facilitating trade between China and Peru.
