In accordance with Announcement No. 9 of 2024 from the State Administration for Market Regulation regarding the Compulsory product certification management for commercial gas burners and related products, electric bicycle rider helmets will be included in the CCC certification scope. Starting from May 1, 2024, CQC will begin accepting certification requests.

In line with Announcement No. 7 of 2024 from the State Certification and Accreditation Administration on the release of implementation rules for compulsory product certification of wires and cables, CQC has developed the "Implementation Specifications for Compulsory Product Certification - Motorcycle and Electric Bicycle Rider Helmets" (CQC-C1115-2024), which will be implemented from May 1, 2024, replacing the "Implementation Specifications for Compulsory Product Certification - Motorcycle Rider Helmets" (CQC-C1115-2017).

The specific requirements for CCC certification of motorcycle and electric bicycle rider helmets are as follows:

1. Starting from May 1, 2024, CQC will begin accepting CCC certification applications for electric bicycle rider helmets (corresponding product category: 1105). The currently available service of voluntary certification (product category: 038002) for electric bicycle rider helmets will be closed. The relevant certificates will be suspended for a period of three months. Once the CCC certificates are obtained, the previously acquired voluntary certificates will be canceled. Annual supervision of manufacturers will not be required. Companies with voluntary certificates are required to submit CCC certification application based on the new edition CCC certification implementation rules and regulations. They will be issued a new CCC certificate under the condition that no certification changes have occurred, and will be exempt from relevant application fees, approval registration fees, and type testing fees.

2. CCC certificates for motorcycle rider helmets issued according to the old edition implementation rules ("Implementation Rules for Compulsory Product Certification - Motorcycle Rider Helmets" (CNCA-C11-15:2017)) can continue to be used.
