Recently, the Data Security Standards Working Group of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Cybersecurity officially released the "White Paper on Data Security Standardization for Consumer Wearable Smart Devices" (2024 Edition). China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) was one of the key contributors to this white paper, which serves as an essential document for the consumer wearable smart device industry amidst the thriving development of new technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and big data.

As technology continues to evolve, consumer wearable smart devices have transformed from simple pedometers into sophisticated smartwatches integrating health monitoring, exercise tracking, information reminders, and more, even extending to innovative forms like smart clothing and AR/VR glasses, profoundly influencing and transforming people's lifestyles. The release of this white paper not only provides a guiding framework for data security in existing consumer wearable smart devices but also further promotes the standardization and sustainable development of the industry.

In the compilation process, CQC leveraged its decades of experience in product certification, referenced numerous relevant domestic and international standards, conducted systematic analyses of data security risks, collected and presented practical cases of data security protection, offering practical guidance for standardizing data security in the industry.
