From June 5 to 8, the 2024 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo was successfully held. CQC was invited to participate in the expo’s keynote forum and related concurrent activities.
At the keynote forum of the 2024 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo held on June 7, Gong Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai, Liu Zhenmin, China's Special Envoy for Climate Change, and Yuan Da, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Huang Zhen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chairman of the Yangtze River Delta Carbon Neutrality Industry-University-Research Alliance, and Lord Adair Turner, Chairman of the Energy Transitions Commission, delivered keynote speeches. Xu Shaoshan, Deputy Managing Director of CQC, and the head of the CQC Shanghai were invited to attend the forum.
The forum focused on key topics such as the green transition of energy and the construction of green and low-carbon supply chains. It showcased the latest practices in green innovation development and explored trends in carbon neutrality technology. The forum released the "Green and Low-Carbon Supply Chain Case Collection of the Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo" and established the Green and CN100 Alliance, which united the leading enterprises in the area of green and low-carbon supply chains. CQC Shanghai, as a technical service member of the alliance, will fully support the related work of the CN100 Alliance standards group and working group, ensure the effective operation of the alliance, create social value, promote the healthy development of the industry, and provide professional support for leading enterprises in guiding the green and low-carbon development of the industrial and supply chains.
On June 5 and 6, the Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Administration and the World Resources Institute (WRI) respectively held concurrent activities titled "Market Supervision Services for Green and Low-Carbon Supply Chains" and "Promoting Emission Reduction in Corporate Value Chains to Support Low-Carbon Transformation in Key Industries." During these activities, CQC Shanghai granted dual carbon management information disclosure rating certificates to the first star-level benchmark enterprises of the Yangtze River Delta Dual-Carbon Information Disclosure Platform. In the roundtable forum, discussions and exchanges were conducted on the topic of "Paths and Methods to Promote Corporate Emission Reduction Across the Entire Value Chain."
In the future, CQC will continue to leverage its technical strength and brand influence as a national quality service organization, serve more leading enterprises, actively fulfill social responsibilities, and contribute more to the implementation of China's "dual carbon" strategic goals and the creation of a better future for humanity.
