In accordance with the Announcement No. 9 of 2024 from the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) concerning the implementation of compulsory product certification management for commercial gas burners and related products, designated certification bodies will begin accepting CCC certification application for products like electronic bidets from July 1, 2024. On April 15, 2024, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) released the "Implementation Rules for Compulsory Product Certification - Household and Similar Use Equipment" (CNCA-C07-01:2024) (hereinafter referred to as the "New Edition Rules"), replacing the "Implementation Rules for Mandatory Product Certification - Household and Similar Use Equipment" (CNCA-C07-01:2017) (hereinafter referred to as the "Old Edition Rules").

In order to ensure the orderly implementation of compulsory product certification management for electronic bidets, CQC in accordance with the "Implementation Rules for Mandatory Product Certification - Household and Similar Use Equipment" (CNCA-C07-01:2024), has revised and issued the CQC-C0701-2024 "Implementation Specifications for Compulsory Product Certification - Household and Similar Use Equipment" ( hereinafter referred to as the "New Edition Specifications"), which replaces the CQC-C0701-2017 "Implementation Specifications for Mandatory Product Certification - Household and Similar Use Equipment."

Following the State Administration for Market Regulation Announcement No. 9 of 2023, under the precondition of manageable certification risks and ensured certification quality, certification bodies are encouraged to actively accept existing qualified assessment results to ease the burden on enterprises and facilitate certification. The specific implementation requirements are provided as follows:

1. The New Edition Specifications will be implemented from July 1, 2024. CCC certificates issued under the Old Edition Rules can continue to be used, and can be transitioned to the New Edition Rules certificates through methods like expiration, standard updates, or product modifications.

2. Starting from July 1, 2024, CQC will officially implement CCC certification for electronic bidet products included in the CCC catalog as stated in the Announcement No. 9 of 2024 from the State Administration for Market Regulation.
