On June 1, 2024, the first Beijing Sub-Center Forestry Carbon Sink Development Forum was successfully held, jointly organized by the CPC Beijing Tongzhou District Committee, the Beijing Tongzhou District People's Government, and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscaping and Forestry. The event was co-organized by the Beijing Tongzhou District Bureau of Landscaping and Forestry, Beijing Tongzhou District Media Center, and the International Green Economy Association. The forum, themed "New Quality Power, Carbon Benefiting the Future," brought together experts and industry professionals to explore new pathways for the development of productive forestry carbon sinks in the city's sub-center. The China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) was invited to attend and awarded the carbon neutrality certificate for the conference.

At the event, a representative from CQC was invited to participate in the launch ceremonies for two initiatives: the Beijing Sub-Center Ecological Value Realization Think Tank Research Center and the Beijing Sub-Center "Tonghui Win" Industry Alliance.

During the thematic round table discussion, a CQC manager engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as greenhouse gas validation and verification for forestry carbon sinks, diversified value realization approaches for ecological products and industry models, and digital technology integration support systems.

Going forward, CQC will continue to leverage its expertise and experience in climate change mitigation to actively assist the Beijing Sub-Center in promoting forestry carbon sink pilot projects, climate finance, and related initiatives. This effort aims to contribute to the construction of national ecological civilization and high-quality development.
