On May 30, 2024, the Chengdu branch of the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) successfully completed a month-long third-party inspection and acceptance of over 1,400 charging piles at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. The successful completion of this task ensures the safe and stable operation of the airport's charging facilities, providing passengers with a safe and reliable charging environment.
CQC Chengdu branch dispatched a team of technical experts to form a project working group responsible for this task. The working group conducted a comprehensive and detailed inspection of the hardware, functionality, and safety of the charging facilities, ensuring that every detail met the relevant standards and requirements. Additionally, the team closely collaborated with airport staff, promptly communicated inspection results, and provided targeted improvement recommendations to the airport.
As a crucial aviation hub in Southwest China and a key project in Chengdu’s development of an international aviation hub, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport planned the construction of 1,417 charging piles in its first phase. This includes 1,206 DC fast-charging piles and 211 AC slow-charging piles, meeting the charging needs of both the airport's operational vehicles and external vehicles, making it the largest single charging pile project in Chengdu.
The successful implementation of this project fully demonstrates CQC's professional technical capabilities in the inspection and acceptance of charging infrastructure, as well as its responsibility and commitment as a national entity. In the future, CQC will continue to leverage its technical strength and professional expertise to efficiently advance the construction of charging infrastructure and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
