CQC in the 2024 International Zero Carbon Cities, Villages, and Zero Carbon Buildings Conference and Technology Equipment Expo
Public Time:2024-07-17 Origin:CHINA QUALITY CERTIFICATION CENTRE CO.,LTD.

On May 26, the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) was invited to participate in the 2024 International Zero Carbon Cities, Villages, and Zero Carbon Buildings Conference and Technology Equipment Expo. The theme of the conference was "Promoting Zero Carbon Development in Buildings and Facilitating Green and Low-Carbon Transformation in Urban and Rural Areas," focusing on the practical needs of global zero carbon urban and rural construction under the "Dual Carbon" strategy. The event was attended by authorities in urban and rural construction, academicians, scholars, building experts, and industry representatives. Xu Shaoshan, the Deputy Managing Director of CQC, attended the meeting and delivered a keynote speech.

In his speech, Xu Shaoshan introduced the latest international and domestic developments in the "Dual Carbon" landscape, emphasized the importance of addressing climate change, and provided an in-depth analysis of low-carbon development trends in key industries related to buildings such as power, petrochemicals, and building materials. At the conference, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on relevant policies and regulations, advanced technologies and standards, and methods for achieving zero carbon buildings. CQC's experts presented on topics such as "Creating a 'Green Low-Carbon Supply Chain' to Support 'New Quality' Development in the Building Industry" and "'Guardians' Supporting High-Quality Development of User-Side Energy Storage."

At the invitation of the organizers, CQC provided carbon neutrality verification services for the conference. Xu Shaoshan presented the carbon neutrality certificate to the organizers on-site. The quantification process of greenhouse gases during the event adhered to the principles of completeness, standardization, accuracy, and transparency. Measures such as using environmentally friendly materials, optimizing waste management, and encouraging digital communication were implemented to effectively control and reduce the conference's carbon emissions. The remaining emissions were offset by canceling an equivalent amount of carbon credits that met relevant standards. This process complied with the "Guidelines for Carbon Neutrality Implementation in Large Events (Trial)" requirements, and according to CQC's verification, the conference achieved carbon neutrality.

In the future, CQC will continue to play a leading role in the industry, actively planning the entire "Dual Carbon" industrial chain, and vigorously promoting the development of new energy, thereby contributing more to the realization of China's "Dual Carbon" goals.
