On April 17, 2024, CQC successfully hosted the Carbon Neutrality Certificate Awarding Ceremony at the 37th Xi'an City Wall New Year Lantern Festival (hereinafter referred to as the "Lantern Festival") in Xi'an. Leaders and experts from the Xi'an City Wall Management Committee, representatives from relevant enterprises, and multiple media outlets attended the event.
During the event, Xie Zhaoxu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Managing Director of CQC, presented the Carbon Neutrality Certificate to the Xi'an City Wall Management Committee, the organizers of the Lantern Festival. Following verification byCQC, the event achieved carbon neutrality by implementing autonomous emission reduction measures and offsetting the remaining emissions through compliant methods.
The head of the Product Certification Department VI of CQC elaborated on the carbon neutrality verification process for the Lantern Festival and proposed feasible suggestions for future cooperation between the CQC and the Xi'an City Wall Management Committee.
This certification event represents a significant step taken by CQC in serving the green and low-carbon fields of heritage sites. In the future, CQC will further leverage its technical expertise and brand advantages in the green and low-carbon domain, collaborating with relevant parties to continuously innovate in the "Cultural Relics + Cultural Tourism + Ecology" realm. This effort aims to create more demonstration cases of "carbon neutrality" in the conservation and inheritance of cultural relics, consistently contributing to the sustainable low-carbon development of cultural and heritage site scenic areas in China.
