On the 28th and 29th of March, China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) organized the 2024 Technical Seminar on Electronic Product Testing Institutions in Ganzhou, Jiangxi. The event was graced with the attendance of over 150 delegates. This included officials from the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Jiangxi Provincial Market Regulation Administration, the Ganzhou Municipal Market Regulation Administration, as well as a cohort of representatives from various testing entities.

At the conference, Song Jianqun, the director of the Certification Supervision Division of Jiangxi Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the development of the testing and certification industry in Jiangxi.

Liu Jiang, Party Committee member and Deputy Managing Director of CQC, elaborated on "quality" and "intelligent innovation" based on the theme of conference. He presented CQC in terms of pursuit of innovative development, enhancement of quality improvement, and optimization of global services. He voiced his anticipation to forge deeper communications and collaborations with fellow testing institutions, jointly drive the sustainable and robust growth of the quality certification industry, and ultimately make momentous contributions to enhancing China's product quality and advancing industrial upgrading.

Xu Shiyu, the director of the Certification Supervision and Management Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, briefly summarized the certification supervision work in 2023 and deployed the key tasks for 2024. He emphasized that supervision efforts on designated CCC testing institutions and certification bodies would continue to be strengthened to enhance the credibility of quality certification in 2024. Xu further illustrated the vital role of quality certification in promoting high-quality economic development and fostering a new development dynamic. He also provided specific instructions on strengthening talent cultivation, maintaining innovation-driven development, fulfilling social responsibilities, and enhancing global collaboration. Xu pointed out that testing and certification bodies must take on primary responsibilities and make substantial contributions. He anticipated that institutions would steadfastly enhance the standards of quality certification, thereby offering robust backing for high-quality economic and societal development.

The meeting concluded the issues identified during the test reports evaluation for electronic and lithium battery products, as well as updated progress of new business initiatives. Furthermore, participants engaged in profound discussions on future research and development directions, international certification services, laboratory testing capability expansion and accreditation. The conference established a solid foundation for deepening quality improvement, innovating testing and certification models, and capitalizing on global opportunities to expand into international markets.
