On January 15, 2024, a delegation from the Japan External Trade Organization, led by Kensuke Shimizu, visited CQC. Xie Zhaoxu, Managing Director of CQC, along with Liu Jiang, Deputy Managing Director, and representatives from the International Cooperation Department and the Product Certification Department III, attended the meeting.
Xie Zhaoxu stated that the close economic and trade exchanges between China and Japan make their ongoing cooperation in the field of conformity assessment critically important. CQC is eager to maintain close contact and communication with the Japanese side in the existing areas of cooperation. Furthermore, they hope to strengthen mutual exchange and promotion with Japanese counterparts in emerging fields, exploring new modes of cooperation between the CQC and relevant Japanese institutions in various fields, such as CQC-mark certification, agriculture and food products, environmental protection, and low-carbon initiatives. Xie Zhaoxu also sincerely invited the Japanese representatives to participate in the "Global Certification, China's Approach" series events in 2024.

The meeting also involved in-depth discussions and exchanges about collaborative situations between enterprises from the two countries.
In the future, CQC aims to continue maintaining close communication and cooperation with relevant Japanese institutions, acting as a bridge for Sino-Japanese economic and trade cooperation, and actively exploring more convenient and efficient modes of cooperation. Leveraging the role of quality certification as an "international trade passport", CQC seeks to make a positive contribution to the promotion of economic and trade development between China and Japan.
