On November 24th, CQC hosted the 2023 Household Appliance Industry Quality Impact Conference in Hangzhou. Xie Zhaoxu, Party Secretary and Managing Director of CQC, was present at the meeting and delivered a speech. Liu Jiang, Party Committee member and Deputy Managing Director, along with over 250 esteemed representatives from renowned academic institutions, home appliance manufacturers, retail platforms, supply chain firms, quality service agencies, and various other industry stakeholders, also took part in the event.
Xie Zhaoxu emphasized that quality certification is instrumental in enhancing product and service standards and in engaging effectively in international competition. Amidst the rapidly changing global landscape, the home appliance industry stands as a key player in China's economic growth. CQC is eager to join forces with partners from all sectors to remain true to the fundamental commitment to quality, to strive for excellence, and to fully harness the critical role of quality certification in ensuring economic prosperity. By spearheading initiatives like the Good Housekeeping Certification project, CQC intends to showcase the sophisticated, innovative, and consumer-friendly brand identity of home appliances. In doing so, CQC hopes to inject fresh vitality into the field of quality certification and contribute to the endeavor of building a nation renowned for its quality.
The conference centered on three primary themes: brand, culture, and development. Distinguished speakers, including Professor Wende Cheng of Shandong University, Guo Meide, President of Beijing Ovi Cloud Network Big Data Technology Co., Ltd., Wang Ye, Vice President of Haier Group, and Yu Guitao, Director of the Smart Kitchen and Electrical Research Institute at Fotile Group, were invited to deliver their expert perspectives. They provided comprehensive analysis of the core elements and progression of home appliance quality and scrutinized current trends in technological advancements within the industry. Additionally, they offered fresh insights and innovative ideas to foster further growth in the sector.
During the conference, the establishment of the Household Appliance Quality Consumption Research Consortium (Centre) was announced. Representatives from the five founding entities, including Liu Jiang, along with Deputy Director Qu Zongfeng of the China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute, Weike Certification Testing Co., Ltd. Chairman Gu Zebo, Vice Chief Engineer Yang Lin of the Fifth Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Deputy Director Fang Min of the Hefei General Electromechanical Product Testing Institute, collectively inaugurated the Consortium (Centre).
Additionally, the conference saw the launch of the "Good Housekeeping" certification brand, with 43 certified enterprises being awarded this prestigious distinction. In a collaborative effort with JD Group, the "Enjoy Quality Life with Good Housekeeping Certified Home Appliances" initiative was rolled out, aimed at better guiding consumers towards quality living.
Marking CQC's inaugural Quality Ecology Conference for the home appliance sector, this event represented a significant convergence of resources from the entire industry ecosystem. Moving forward, CQC plans to leverage the Good Housekeeping certification as a benchmark to keep pace with market consumption patterns and the rapid evolution of home appliance technology. By intensifying their focus on technical research related to consumer quality expectations, CQC intends to support consumers in attaining an elevated lifestyle while contributing to the household appliance industry's high-quality growth.
