On November 23, 2023, CQC, in collaboration with Amazon, successfully hosted the "Global Certification Made in China" International Certification Cooperation Development Conference in Suzhou.
Distinguished attendees included Liu Weijun, former Deputy Director of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China; Huang Jixian, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the China Association for Certification and Accreditation, and Vice Chairman of the International Personnel Certification Association (IPC); Wang Kun, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Association for Quality Promotion of Consumer Goods; Taku Ishitani, an official from the Consulate-General of Japan in Shanghai; Kano Mitsuko, Minister of Economic Information and Machinery Environmental Industries at the Shanghai Office of the Japan External Trade Organization; and Gianluca Ghiara, the lead of the SPEAC (Sino-EU Project for Achieving Consumer Product Safety) initiative. In addition, Xie Zhaoxu, Managing Director of CQC, gave a speech, and Rajdeep Datta, Vice President of Amazon’s International Trusted Shopping Experience, addressed the gathering via video. More than 300 participants, which included local government officials, industry experts, business leaders, representatives from international certification organizations, and heads of pertinent CQC departments, attended the event chaired by Liu Jiang, Deputy Director of CQC.
In his remarks, Xie Zhaoxu noted that as China's "national team" for quality services, CQC is dedicated to reinforcing quality through its certification, testing, and standards services, ensuring both quality and safety. The organization is a key contributor to China's national quality infrastructure, providing international certification services to countless domestic and international enterprises, exporting Chinese technology, embedding quality services across industries and supply chains, steering the shift from "Made in China" to "Quality Manufactured in China," and supporting Chinese brands in their quest to go global.
