To all certified clients and related parties,
In accordance with the "Announcement of the State Administration for Market Regulation on Improving the Management of Compulsory Product Certification Certificates and Marks" (No. 12 of 2023), China Quality Certification Centre (referred to as "CQC" hereinafter) hereby provides the relevant information regarding the use of new certificate layout and document formats for electronic certificate for China Compulsory Product Certification (CCC Certification) as follows:
I. New Certificate Layout
Details of the new Compulsory Product Certification certificate layout are available on the certificate sample section of the official CQC website (www.cqc.com.cn).
II. Document Formats for Electronic Certificate
It is recommended that the certification client only obtain electronic certificates. Electronic certificate documents are issued in accordance with China's electronic document exchange and storage format standards, using the OFD (Open Fixed-layout Document) format. The electronic certificate information can be viewed and the electronic signature information verified by professional OFD tools such as Kingsoft WPS (https://www.wps.cn/) and the Suwell OFD Reader (http://www.suwell.cn/).
III. Implementation Arrangements
From January 1, 2024, certificates will be issued and electronic certificates will be provided in accordance with the above requirements.
IV. Please note that this adjustment does not involve conversion of previously issued certificates.
For CCC Certification certificates issued before January 1, 2024, and electronic certificates using the PDF document format, the hard copy of new layout and soft copy of OFD document format will replace the old ones upon certificate expiry or changes.
