On November 23, 2023, the launch ceremony for the social governance of quality and safety in cross-border e-commerce was held at the 2nd Global Digital Trade Expo. CQC, as one of the founding members of the Cross-border E-commerce Quality and Safety Professional Committee (Preparatory) of the China Association for the Promotion of Consumer Goods Quality and Safety (CACPQSP), attended the launch ceremony.

Wang Kun, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of CACPQSP, Wu Changhong, Chief Economist of the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Li Jun, Deputy Director of the Qiantang New Area Management Committee in Hangzhou, Wang Yang, Director of the Cross-border E-commerce Commodity Quality and Safety Risk Monitoring Center (National (Hangzhou) Center), and Pu Zhijiang, Chairman of Zhejiang Guomao Yunshang Holdings Co., Ltd., as well as representatives from the founding members of the Cross-border E-commerce Professional Committee, relevant research institutions, universities, and enterprises, attended the event.

The event aims to promote the healthy and safe development of global digital trade, enhance the quality and safety of cross-border imports and exports, and guide cross-border e-commerce platforms and merchants to operate with integrity, compliance, and corporate social responsibility. During the event, representative of CQC read out the proposal on the social governance initiative of the quality and safety of cross-border e-commerce goods on behalf of the Preparatory Committee of the Cross-border E-commerce Professional Committee of the CACPQSP.

The Preparatory Committee was initiated by CQC, Zhejiang Guomao Yunshang Holdings Co., Ltd., Wuchan Zhongda Yunshang Co., Ltd., Taotian Group, Amazon (China), Shenzhen Institute of Standard Technology, Hangzhou Beihai Information Systems Co., Ltd., and Hangzhou Yichong Technology Co., Ltd. As an authoritative third-party quality service organization, CQC will continue to leverage its strengths and actively participate in the joint governance of quality and safety in cross-border e-commerce. This initiative is aimed at elevating the quality standards of the cross-border e-commerce industry, safeguarding consumer rights, and contributing to industry development.
