The GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) has been using the GSO Conformity Tracking Platform (hereinafter referred to as the "GSO Platform") since July 2016. All notified bodies register products and their G-mark certificate information through this platform, obtain Product GCTS, manually upload the self-prepared electronic certificate files, and finally activate them for use after being approved by GSO.

In order to further improve the efficiency, traceability, and reliability of conformity assessment procedure, GSO recently announced that the current "GSO platform" will make significant updates. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Starting from October 1, 2023, the E-Certifications can be generated automatically via the "GSO platform" after the GSO notified bodies upload necessary information.

2. The E-Certificates service will be mandatory from December 30, 2023, with a transitional period from October 1 to December 29.

3. For children's toy manufacturers, please pay special attention that the minimum activation validity period of the Product GCTS has been changed from 1 year to 3 years, which means that all certificates for children's toy shall be registered for at least 3 years at the time of registration.

According to the above requirements, CQC will start providing G-mark E-Certificates service from now on. During the transition period, you can choose to apply for manual certificate creation service or E-Certificates service. However, as GSO has stated that priority in the approval process will be given to E-Certificates during the transition period, we strongly recommend you to choose E-Certificates service when applying for certification.

For enterprises that choose E-Certificates service, after obtaining GSO approval, CQC will upload the electronic certificates to the designated location through the "Product Certification Management System" (www.cqccms. com. cn).
