China Compulsory Certification is abbreviated to CCC or 3C. In December 2001, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ) issued the Administrative Regulations on China Compulsory Certification, replacing the original safety and quality licensing system for imported commodities and the safety certification system for electrotechnical products with the CCC system. CCC is a statutory and compulsory safety certification system, as well as a basic practice widely used across the world to protect consumers’ rights and interests and safeguard their personal and property safety.
