China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) has recently revised the CQC11-463411-2020 "Implementation Rules for Safety Certification of Control Cables and Computer Cables." The revised version is CQC11-463411-2023 "Implementation Rules for Safety Certification of Control Cables and Computer Cables." This revision applies to the business subclass code: 011014.

I. Key Revisions:

1. Expansion of the certification scope to include "Industrial Control Cables."

2. Addition of new reference standards: CQC1163.1-2023, CQC1163.31-2023, and CQC1163.41-2023.

3. Revision of Annex 1: "Requirements for Unit Division and Type Test Sampling."

4. Revision of Annex 2: "Requirements for Factory Quality Control Testing of Control Cables and Computer Cables."

II. Implementation Requirements:

A. New Requirements:

1. Starting from September 1, 2023, applicants can apply for certification of industrial control cable products according to the new standards (CQC1163.1-2023, CQC1163.31-2023, CQC1163.41-2023). CQC will implement the certification using the new standards and issue relevant certification certificates.

2. Post-certification surveillance inspections will be conducted according to the standards listed on the valid certificate.

B. Transition to the New Rules:

Starting from September 1, 2023, CQC will begin accepting certification applications for relevant products based on the revised rules.
