S-mark certification is a third-party certification scheme that supplements and enriches the DENAN Act. Electrical products with S-mark prove that the products have passed the product testing of the third-party certification body and the quality management inspection of the factory.
Differences between S-mark certification and PSE certification:
1. The scope of S-mark certified products includes all PSE certified products.
2. PSE is an access system for electronic and electrical products to enter the Japanese market; however, if they are sold in shopping malls, shops, etc., S-mark certification is also required.
3. PSE specifies the factory inspection cycle according to the validity period of the product certification certificate; S-mark requires the regular factory inspection once a year to ensure consistency. Upon the initial export to Japan, a factory inspection is required after the first batch of goods is produced.
After obtaining the S-mark certificate, the logo of the certification body and the S-mark will be displayed on the product.
