GC mark certificate is the market access certificate for products entering the member states of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

As the most important political and economic organization in the Gulf region, GCC was founded in May 1981 with its headquarters in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It is currently home to seven member states: United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman, Kingdom of Bahrain, State of Kuwait, State of Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Republic of Yemen. Since its establishment, GCC member states have given full play to their advantages in similar language, religion and economic structure, and actively promoted the economic integration.

The establishment of the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) has promoted the economic integration, ensured the safety and quality of products entering the GCC market, and participated in the development of production and services through various standards activities. In the field of standardization and conformity assessment, all certified products with GC mark certificate can enter the markets of the seven member states mentioned above. At present, GSO is actively unifying the standards and certification procedures of these seven states, and has issued unified technical regulations for children’s toys and low-voltage electrical equipment.

Children’s toys: Products designed and made for children under 14 years old to play with.

Low-voltage electrical equipment: Applicable to all electronic and electrical equipment exported to the Gulf region with the voltage between 50-1,000 V under AC conditions and 75-1,500 V under DC conditions.
