CQC underwent Gulf Cooperation Council Accreditation Center (GAC) annual accreditation surveillance asseessment on 26th and 27th July 2023 and successfully passed the on-site assessment.
Liu Jiang, Deputy Managing Director of the CQC and representative of the product certification manager, warmly welcomed the assessment team. Liu presented a comprehensive overview of CQC's product certification system and its international certification business in the Middle East, encouraging all relevant departments to actively cooperate with the assessment and perceive this as an opportunity to enhance the quality of the CQC's services while propelling the international business of CQC.
Back in 2015, the GAC authorized the CQC as a designated certification body for the GC Mark Certification for several categories, including children's toys and low-voltage electrical equipment. Basing on this GAC accreditation, the CQC was recognized in 2021 as a designated body for registering and assessing energy efficiency labels for air conditioners in Oman and Bahrain. Over the years, the CQC has been unwavering in its commitment to deliver high-quality testing and certification services to domestic enterprises exporting to the Middle East, issuing almost 2,000 GC Mark certificates to hundreds of such enterprises.
The assessment team conducted an in-depth and professional assessment of the CQC's GC mark certification, as well as the Oman and Bahrain air conditioning energy efficiency certification activities. The experts highly rated the CQC's quality management capabilities for product certification, and risk prevention and control capabilities. It was unanimously agreed that CQC's product certification management system continues to meet the GAC accreditation requirements.
The completion of the GAC accreditation review further establishes the stature of CQC's high-quality international certification services. CQC aims to enhance its international service capacity and implement the "Belt and Road" initiative. It will provide better localized "one-stop" services to exporters, and facilitate Chinese products' entry into overseas markets.
