Recently, the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) and the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (colloquially known as "JAMA") jointly hosted the CQC-JAMA Automotive Certification Technical Exchange Meeting. The event saw the attendance of nearly 50 representatives from various testing institutions such as the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, Xiangyang Daan Automotive Inspection Centre, Changchun Automotive Inspection Centre, Shanghai Motor Vehicle Inspection and Certification Technology Research Centre, and an array of Japanese automotive companies. Manager of Product Certification Department III of CQC and the President of JAMA's China Branch each delivered speeches during the event.

At the meeting, representatives from the CQC Department III presented an annual report detailing the development of the CCC certification system for automotive products, work accomplishments of the Motor Vehicle Certification Alliance, and recent progress regarding CCC certification of automotive products, including updates to the implementation guidelines for motor vehicle CCC certification. In addition, JAMA member companies provided comprehensive summaries on vehicle certification-related issues for in-depth on-site discussions.

Throughout the dialogue, attendees had an engaging exchange on subjects of common interest, including new automotive technologies, certification standards, and regulatory policies. They also had in-depth discussions about the future development of high-tier technical services for enterprises and reached a consensus on expanding services as well as addressing issues such as software updating functions, EU general safety regulations, and the citation of compulsory and recommended standards.

The seminar laid a strong foundation for CQC to gain a more precise understanding of customer needs, hence enabling it to provide more bespoke services moving forward. Moreover, it is of immense importance for enterprises, aiding them in excelling in subsequent certification tasks and enhancing product quality.
