On July 4, 2023, China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) and the Wire andCable Committee of the China Association for Standardization co-hosted the Technical Exchange Meeting in Chengdu. The gathering saw the participation of more than 300 experts and representatives from relevant enterprises, scientific research institutes, industry associations, andtesting institutions. Notable attendees included Li Guozhen, a member of the CQC Party Committee andits Deputy Managing Director,and Yang Liming, Chairman of the Wire and Cable Committee ofthe China Association for Standardization.

Aimed at serving the industry's high-quality development in a new development stage, the technical exchange meeting served as a networking platform for the cable industry. During the session, expertsengaged in in-depth discussions concerning the latest standards research,process design, testing requirements, material performance, and validation of test equipment for flame-retardant and fire-resistant cables.

The experts from CQC also provided a detailedexplanation of the IECEEinternational certification for wires and cables, the CQC certification standards for cables within the new energy industry, and related certification processes for flame-retardant and environmentally-friendly cables. The first CQC New JB/T10491-2022 Certificate, CQC Flame Retardant B1 Cable Certificate, and CQC Environmental ProtectionCable Certificate were issued during the event.

The successful conduct of the technical exchange meeting will effectively foster communication and collaboration across multiple aspects ofthe cable industry, including advanced technology,product standards, testing and certification, quality enhancement, and market access.
