The CQC has received official notification from VERRA, as a designated operational entity for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM DOE), of the successful extension of its accreditation as a Verification Body for the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). This accreditation allows CQC to continue providing comprehensive verification and validation services for projects under the VCS framework.

Since its inception in 2006, the VCS mechanism has become the most widely used voluntary greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction program globally. It can be applied to corporate activities and events for carbon neutrality purposes, with a market share of over 70%. It has registered over 2,000 projects in 88 countries and regions, contributing to the reduction or removal of nearly 1.1 billion tons of carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere.

In the future, CQC will strictly adhere to the rules and regulations under the VCS framework to ensure the delivery of high-quality greenhouse gas reduction project validation and verification services to its clients.
