From May 15th to 19th, 2023, the compulsory product certification (CCC) designated laboratory targeted supervision and inspection report review meeting for household appliances (washing machines) products, organized by the Certification Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), was held in Hangzhou and hosted by the CQC. Xu Shiyu, Director of the Certification Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the project manager of the Accreditation Supervision Department of CNAS, and the head of the Product Certification Department of CQC, as well as over 20 representatives from CCC designated certification bodies and laboratories, attended the meeting.

In accordance with the established plan, the meeting focused on reviewing the quality of CCC certification test reports of washing machine product issued by CCC designated laboratories in recent years. This review aimed to prepare for the upcoming on-site inspections in the next phase.

During the meeting, Xu Shiyu outlined the general requirements for the targeted supervision and inspection work. He stated that with the continuous deepening of the compulsory product certification system reform, regulatory efforts will continue to strengthen. He hoped that designated laboratories would strictly control the CCC certification testing work, ensure safety standards, promote the standardized and orderly development of CCC testing markets. The representatives present actively responded, expressing their commitment to maintaining quality standards, promoting industry development, and jointly safeguarding the value of the CCC brand.

The quality of the type test report is an important factor affecting the effectiveness of CCC. The successful convening of this report review meeting has actively contributed to improving the technical capabilities of CCC designated laboratories and continuously optimizing the quality of CCC certification work.
