Recently, CQC was approved as an AA1000 Sustainable Development Verification body, enabling it to conduct verification services for sustainability reports (ESG reports) in mainland China. The AA1000 series of standards was developed by AccountAbility, a global consultancy and standards-setting organization. These standards are widely recognized and serve as the primary tools for sustainability professionals to verify sustainability-related reports. The assessment evaluates organizations' compliance with AccountAbility principles.

Domestically, in response to the requirements of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), major central state-owned enterprises, listed companies, and others have issued ESG reports. However, some reports suffer from incomplete data or information and lack uniform disclosure standards, leading to incomparable data. Professional third-party verification of ESG reports is crucial.

Internationally, the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) explicitly requires EU member states to use independent assurance service providers (IASPs) to verify sustainable development reports. Moreover, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) published a report in March, explicitly supporting the establishment of a global framework for verifying sustainability-related reports. Conducting verification services for sustainability reports (ESG reports) not only addresses domestic needs but also aligns better with international standards.

With the attainment of this international qualification, CQC's ESG business scope is further expanded. It can now provide a comprehensive range of services, including ESG assessment, ESG training, ESG report preparation, and ESG report verification.
