On April 20, 2023, the first China Carbon Finance Forum was successfully held in Shanghai. CQC participated in the forum as an academic support unit and issued a carbon neutrality certificate for the conference. Qi Xuchun, Vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Zhao Penggao, Deputy Director of the Environmental Resources Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, Song Zhongkui, Secretary General of China Energy Conservation Association, and Li Guozhen, Party Committee Member and Deputy Director of CQC attended the meeting.

Under the theme of "Reducing Carbon Emission and Empowering Green", the conference comprehensively analyzed the architecture of carbon finance system with Chinese characteristics, and deeply discussed the opportunities and challenges faced by the development and application of carbon financial products in China, as well as the coordinated promotion of carbon finance and green and low-carbon investment and financing.

At the invitation of the organizer, CQC evaluated the carbon emissions caused by this forum in accordance with the Implementation Guidelines for Carbon Neutrality in Large-scale Events (Trial), and confirmed that the Forum Organizing Committee completed carbon neutrality by purchasing and canceling the carbon emission reduction (CCER) generated by China's voluntary emission reduction projects. Li Guozhen issued a carbon neutrality certificate to China Energy Conservation Association, the organizer's representative of this forum.

During the forum, the manager of the Product Certification Department VI of CQC presided over the report session entitled "Carbon Finance Global Vision" and attended the unveiling ceremony of Yangtze River Carbon Peaking and Neutrality Research Institute. The manager of CQC Shanghai issued zero-carbon factory certificates to certified enterprises. In the report session of "Carbon Finance and Innovation", the technical experts of CQC Shanghai gave a special keynote speech entitled "Third-party Quality Service Organizations Help Carbon Finance to Be Stable and Far-reaching".

As the "national team" of quality service body, CQC will, as always, play the leading role, lay out the whole industrial chain of "double peaking and carbon neutrality", and boost the sustainable development in China.
