On April 4, 2023, the National Climate Investment and Financing Pilot (Futian, Shenzhen) High-quality Construction Conference was successfully held. Under the guidance of Shenzhen Ecological Environment Bureau, Shenzhen Financial Supervision Administration and Shenzhen Central Sub-branch of the People's Bank of China, the conference was hosted by Futian District People's Government of Shenzhen and undertaken by China Emissions Exchange Co., Ltd. ( "Emissions Exchange"). Wen Zhong, Party member and deputy director of Shenzhen Ecological Environment Bureau, Zhu Jiang, Party member and deputy head of Futian District Government, Wujiang, Party member and deputy general manager of Shenzhen Trading Group and chairman of China Emissions Exchange, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Nearly 17,500 people from relevant departments, domestic and foreign financial institutions and enterprises participated online and offline.
CQC Shenzhen was invited to attend the conference and carry out a training on technical guidance of emission reduction and development of climate projects. Expert from CQC Shenzhen explained the domestic and foreign industry background, validation and certification requirements of greenhouse gas emission reduction, highlighting the key points of validation and certification centering on the development process under different emission reduction mechanisms, and put forward the opinions and suggestions on the development of emission reduction projects.
CQC is the first institution in China to obtain DOE qualification of the United Nations Clean Development Mechanism. CQC possesses CDM, VCS, CCER and other qualifications in the field of validation and verification of greenhouse gas emission reduction, and has domestic and foreign qualifications such as climate bonds and green bond evaluation in the field of green finance. As the "national brand" quality service organization, CQC will further push forward the green development in the future, give full play to its advantages to empower green finance and help achieve the goal of "carbon peaking and neutrality".
