Technical Regulation of Restriction of Hazardous Substances (SASO RoHS) has been enforced gradually since July 2022. And from 31st March 2023, the Regulation will enter the 3rd phase of implementation - Lighting Equipment. Before entering the Saudi Arabian market, related products must meet the requirements of their own technical regulations, as well as the requirements of hazardous substance limit. See the attachment for specific product description and scope.

In addition, RoHS requirements will be enforced for Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Tools from 29th June, you are kindly recommended to prepare in advance and incorporate the RoHS test report into the technical documentation for storage, so as to avoid the obstruction of export due to this.

Note: Some products in the attachment must first go through the website designated by Saudi Arabia (http://jeem1.saso.gov.sa ) to upload the CB test report and CB certificate (including national differences) issued by any national certification body (NCB) and other relevant materials, and convert them into the Saudi IECEE recognition certificate, and on the basis of this certificate, apply for the CoC required for customs clearance; and other products can apply for Product CoC directly through saber platform.
