On November 23, 2022, the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) held an online seminar for Notified Bodies to officially release the first version of “Guidance for Customs & Market Surveillance Inspectors for GSO Technical Regulation on Toys”, aiming to provide guidance for the correct implementation of the conformity assessment procedures for products applicable to the Gulf Technical Regulations on Children's Toys (BD131704-01).

This guidance includes overview of the Gulf Technical Regulation and other relevant regulations as well as standards for toys within the member states. It also provides detail explanation regarding classification, age grading, toy safety, labelling, risk identification, verification methods, etc, which has a strong reference value and significance for children's toy enterprises.
