To whom it may concern,

China Quality Certification Centre (hereinafter referred to as "CQC") has previously received a notice from the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (hereinafter referred to as "SASO") that from September 1, 2021, the following products will be added to the mandatory scope of the Saudi IECEE accreditation certificate category:

●Electric water kettles

● Coffeemakers

● Home electric oil fryers

●Electric pumps (with capacity of 5 horses or less)

● Electric cable

● Video games devices and their accessories (control devices, wireless speakers, chargers and their accessories)

For cable products, SASO recently issued supplementary requirements. Cable products other than telephone lines and telegraph lines covered by the following HS codes must comply with the requirements of the IECEE national recognition certificate.

Therefore, with immediate effect, for telephone line and telegraph line products, CQC will continue to provide audit and assessment services for Saudi Product CoC and Shipment CoC，at the same time, CQC, as China’s largest NCB in CB scheme, can provide you with CB certification services for other cable products. You can submit the application with CB certificate and CB test report (including the national differences) issued by CQC through the Saudi designated website (http://jeem1.saso.gov.sa), and the IECEE recognition certificate will be issued after the review and approval by SASO. On the basis of this certificate, you can apply the Product CoC and Shipment CoC for customs clearance.

CQC will constantly update the policies and requirements on the conformity assessment for products exported to GSO member states. Any consult will be welcomed.
