To whom it may concern,

Recently, CQC received a notification from the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (hereinafter referred to as "SASO") that it will postpone the implementation of the standard SASO IEC 62368-1:2020 (AS IEC 62368-1:2018) “Audio/video, information and communication technology equipment - Part 1: Safety requirements”, the specific execution time is as follows:

1. The new date to enforce the standard SASO IEC 62368-1:2020 will be 1st January 2023 instead of 1st July 2021；

2. The test report as per SASO IEC 62368-1:2017 AS (IEC 62368-1:2014) will be accepted until the date of 30/12/2022.

It is hoped that all relevant parties will know about it and complete the standard replacement work in a timely manner to ensure that the products meet the requirements of the relevant standards.

China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) has been designated by SASO to become its notified body, which can provide various services relating to the certification of products exported to Saudi Arabia and GC-mark certification. CQC will constantly update the policies and requirements on the conformity assessment for products exported to GSO member states. Any consult will be welcomed.
