On March 25, 2021, China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone "BRI" Technology Exchange International Cooperation Center Southeast Asia Branch (hereinafter referred to as "Southeast Asia Branch") was established in CCIC Singapore.


On the day of its founding, the Southeast Asia Sub-center held a seminar and invited experts to give a comprehensive explanation of the conformity assessment system of Southeast Asian countries through live broadcast. Relevant personnel and business representatives of CCIC Southeast Asian (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam) companies participated in the online seminar.

In the future, the Southeast Asia Branch will give full play to its role as a bridge, assist CQC and relevant government departments to build a platform, and promote close communication and cooperation with governments and organizations in Southeast Asia; Besides, it will focus on technical research in the areas of relevant standards, metrology and conformity assessment in Southeast Asia, and provide technical support to serve the construction of the "BRI"; in the meanwhile, it will also give full play to localization advantages to provide relevant inspection and testing, certification and accreditation and other services under the RCEP framework for domestic enterprises to facilitate cross-border trade in Southeast Asian countries.
