On January 7, 2021, the General Department of Standards and Metrology (DGSM) of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOCI) of the Sultanate of Oman authorized CQC as the designated body for the registration and assessment of energy efficiency labels for air-conditioning products in Oman, with agency code 0006. CQC can conduct conformity assessment of air-conditioning products and provide energy efficiency label registration services in accordance with relevant technical regulations and standards of the Sultanate of Oman.

According to Ministerial Decree No. (107/2018) issued in 2018, DGSM designated an independent third-party conformity assessment body to issue energy efficiency label for air-conditioning products in accordance with the Gulf Standard GSO 2530:2016 "Energy Labeling and Minimum Energy Performance Requirements for Air-Conditioning" in Oman.

As the designated body of the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO), CQC can provide both GC mark certification services and Oman energy efficiency label registration services and give more convenient services for domestic companies exporting to the Gulf region.
