On January 15, 2021, CQC held the 2020 Annual Summary and 2021 Work Convention in Beijing. Xu Zengde, President and Party Secretary of CCIC attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Lu Mei, Deputy General Manager of CCIC and Managing Director of CQC made a work report. Nearly 50 representatives from various departments and CQC branches participated in the meeting.

Xu Zengde said at the meeting that 2020 was a special year. It was not only the closing year of the 13th Five-Year Plan, but also the 40th anniversary of CCIC, and the first year that CCIC has converted to SASAC. The whole group has striven hard to overcome the dual challenges brought about by the epidemic prevention and control and the pressure of business development. He stated that the whole work by CQC in the past year is worthy of full recognition: the epidemic prevention and control measures are effective, the reform and innovation are rewarding, the advantages of institutional adjustments are impressive, and the business development is dramatic, and CQC has played a great role as the main pillar in the group's high-quality development.

At the meeting, Mdm. Lu Mei comprehensively summarized the work of CQC in 2020 from four parts: precise policy implementation and enterprises support, innovation and layout planning, mission keeping and acting, precise targeting and blueprints creating. She highlighted that it’s significant for CQC to thoroughly study the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee, fully understand the tasks and requirements of the SASAC, implement the CCIC’s the key work deployment in 2021, forge ahead and promote the better development of CQC.
