Recently, CQC successfully organized and implemented the extension audit of the quality management system certification of meteorological observation for China Meteorological Administration(CMA). The scope of certification has been extended from 12 provinces (regions, cities) to all 31 provinces (regions, cities) under the jurisdiction of the CMA, thus having achieved the overall assessment and certification of China's meteorological observations. Yu Xinwen, deputy director of the China Meteorological Administration, and Li Guozhen, deputy director of CQC, attended the quality management system review meeting and delivered speeches.

On behalf of the Party Group of the China Meteorological Administration, Yu Xinwen expressed his gratitude to CQC for the effective organization of the quality management system work for China Meteorological Administration's meteorological observation, and spoke highly of the professionalism of all CQC auditors and staff participating in the project. Li Guozhen stated that CQC, as the "national team" of the certification body, will assist the China Meteorological Administration in the high-quality development of the meteorological cause, and provide strong meteorological support for the construction of a modern socialist country with Chinese characteristics.

After CQC completed the initial certification of the first promotion and construction units of the China Meteorological Administration in 2019, the comprehensive certification work of the remaining system construction units was started in September 2020, and the "2020 China Meteorological Administration Certification Implementation Plan" was compiled in accordance with the relevant accreditation criteria. Based on the plan,CMA and the provincial (regional, municipal) meteorological bureaus have conducted an overall certification audit. Through the statistical analysis of the audit data, the quality management system of the China Meteorological Administration was greatly improved, which effectively promoted the high-quality development of the meteorological observation , and was highly praised by the top manager and employees of the China Meteorological Administration.
