On December 6, the 2020 International Standards Summit themed with "focusing on standardization strategy and leading high-quality development" was held in Beijing. During the summit, the Beijing Chuangtuo Institute of Technology and International Standards(ITIS) that proposed by SCEE and jointly established by the State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid Company Limited, China Huaneng Group and CCIC unveiled in the event .
Philipp Metzger, Secretary-General of IEC, Sergio Mujica, Secretary-General of ISO, and Houlin Zhao, Secretary-General of ITU delivered video speeches.
Han Yi, Chief Engineer of SAMR, Zhao Shitang, Deputy Secretary-General of SASAC, Director of the Financial Management and Operations Bureau attended and delivered speeches. Xu Zengde congratulated the establishment of the ITIS in his speech. He highlighted that the high-quality development is the mainstream of economic and social development during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and standards are not only an important component of the country's quality infrastructure, but also a robust engine for economy and social development. As one of the organizers of ITIS, CCIC will fully leverage its professional advantages in standardization, using the Institute as a platform, which will form a joint force with State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, and Huaneng Group, and contribute to scientific research and innovation. While assisting the development of China standardization project, CCIC will also provide solid support for the high-quality development.
As the first domestic professional institution engaged in international standards policy strategy research and consulting, ITIS will take technological innovation and international standard construction as its own mission, remain committed to promoting international standards to lead the high-quality development of energy, power and electronics industries, boosting the sound improvement of quality, spearing the upgrading of the industrial supply chain.
In the salon session themed "Conformity Assessment Promoting Industry Innovation", Bo Yumin, Mdm. Lu Mei and Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd. President Miao Jun, Vice President of Strategy and Industrial Development of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Xiao Ran, Director of Shanghai NIO Automobile Co., Ltd. Battery Operations Department Zhou Zerun made exchanges with the delegates on site. Mdm. Lu Mei shared the main work of CQC on promoting the high-quality development of the power industry through conformity assessment and how to seize the opportunity of the new era facing the new challenges and new demands brought by new industries and new technologies, providing high-quality conformity assessment services.
In the meanwhile, the first general meeting of shareholders and the board of directors of the ITIS was also held in the summit, with CQC attending on behalf of CCIC.
More than 300 experts and representatives from related industry associations, scientific research institutions, universities and related companies attended the summit.
