CQC was Invited to AIAG Auto Parts Purchasing Leadership and Suppliers Summit

On December 2, 2020, the 2020 Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) Auto Parts Purchasing Leadership and Suppliers Summit was held in Shanghai. Vice President of CCIC and Managing Director of CQC Mdm. Lu Mei was invited to participate and made a video speech. Mr. J. Scot Sharland, CEO of AIAG delivered the video opening speech, and Dr. Chen Yilong, Managing Director of AIAG Asia presided over the meeting.

AIAG was jointly established in 1982 by the three major U.S. automobile companies-General Motors, Ford and Chrysler. It is a globally recognized non-profit organization proposed by automakers and auto parts suppliers to address problems in global automotive supply chain. CQC and AIAG signed a MoU in 2007 to put in place an information sharing mechanism and carry out high-level mutual visits and co-organized technical seminars. Besides, they have also built a Sino-US bilateral information exchange platform for domestic and foreign automotive and component companies and AIAG members to provide technical services.

Lu Mei pointed out in the video speech that against the backdrop of industrial chain innovation, high industrial barriers, serious quality and safety issues, and the developing trend towards electrification, intelligence, connectivity and sharing, the automotive industry needs to strengthen cross-border integration, constantly improve the quality of NEV. She said as a third-party quality service body, CQC will build on its own excellent experience to implement the national automotive development strategy and continue to provide one-stop services and integrated solutions for auto companies and industrial supply chains; carry out extensive and in-depth cooperation with all relevant parties, grow together with the automotive industry in the new era for shared benefits and common prosperity.

Representatives from Ford, NIO, Volvo, Geely, IATF/IAOB and other institutions shared topics such as the latest strategic plan, regulations and requirements for parts purchasing and quality certification.
