On November 4, 2020, Third Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Ecological Environment Forum and the 10th Anniversary Review of the Guangdong National Low-Carbon Province Pilot Co-organized by CQC was held in Guangzhou. Cai Dafeng, Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress; Zhang Yuanhang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Qin Weizhong, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province; Zhu Yongxin, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference ; Lu Xiulu, Director of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province; Sun Zhen, deputy director of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Mdm. Lu Mei, Vice President of CCIC and Managing Director of CQC attended the event.
Themed with "Ozone Prevention and Control and Peak Carbon Emissions", this forum discussed issues such as improving air quality in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, peaking carbon emissions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangdong province, and green and low-carbon development plans as well as strategies. In order to actively respond to the large-scale carbon neutrality initiative put forward by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the carbon emissions generated by this event were offset by PHCER to achieve carbon neutrality which will be certified by CQC. In the meanwhile, Mdm. Lu Mei issued the certificate to Jinan University, the organizing committee of the event on site.
Experts and scholars from universities, scientific research institutes, relevant technical institutions and personnel from key enterprises in ecological environment fields participated in this event through online and offline methods.
