On October 29, 2020, the Fifth CTMA “Digital Intelligent Transportation” Forum hosted by CQC was successfully held in Wuxi.
Ms.Bo Yumin, Deputy Director of the Certification Department of the SAMR, Mr.Li Wei, Deputy Director of the Traffic Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, Liu Biquan, Deputy Mayor of Wuxi Municipal People’s Government, Zhao Ce, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,Sun Zhengliang, Director of Traffic Management Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security and Mdm. Lu Mei, Managing Director of CQC attended the forum and delivered speeches.
In the speech, Bo Yumin stated that as a high-tech, service-oriented industry, quality certification is the basic system for strengthening quality management and improving market efficiency under market economy, and an important component of the national quality infrastructure. It is also known as the "Letter of Credit" for market economy and the "Passport" for international trade. In China, the finished automobiles, motorcycles, electric bicycles, as well as some motor vehicle components are subject to the compulsory certification, which will maintain the bottom line of safety while harnessing the voluntary certification to provide high-quality certification supply for the innovative development of the smart transportation management.
Lu Mei recognized the solid cooperation between CQC and the Traffic Management Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security, and said that CQC will take this forum as a new starting point, striving to promote the autonomous driving test certification and industry cooperation, working together with all parties to support the smooth implementation of automated driving test certification. During the forum, the two parties signed the strategic cooperation agreement.
As the representative of the organizer, Sun Zhengliang said in his speech that 2020 is a new phase for CTMA, the National Intelligent Transportation Comprehensive Test Base will also be officially unveiled. The construction and operation of the test base will continually promote the development of autonomous driving and improve the related laws and regulations, which is of great significance to the R&D and the testing of intelligent transportation technology in China.
