On September 1, 2020, CQC Shanghai Branch and the Shanghai Administration of Market Regulation held a outreaching and implementation meeting for certification regulations and requirements of import automobile. More than 70 representatives of imported car dealers, traders and agents from Shanghai, Tianjin, Ningbo and other ports attended the meeting.

The meeting was hosted by the Certification and Supervision Division of Shanghai AMR; at the meeting, the technical experts from CQC Product Certification Department III reviewed and looked forward to the development of parallel-import cars certification, interpreted the relevant requirements of the policies, certification rules and detailed rules for parallel imported cars and bicycle certification, and explained the certification process and key points. The technical experts of Shanghai Motor Vehicle Inspection Center analyzed the typical non-compliance problems of imported cars.

This meeting provided a platform for import auto companies to learn regulations, policies and certification requirements, helping certified customers to speed up the resumption of production and solve practical difficulties.
