On July 5, 2020, Dr. Shu Yinbiao, President of International Electro technical Commission/Chairman of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd./President of Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering and his team visited CQC for researches and exchanges. Board Chairman of CCIC Mr. Xu Zengde and Vise President of CCIC/Managing Director of CQC Ms. Lu Mei accompanied the delegation and made exchanges with them on future cooperation.
Dr. Shu Yinbiao pointed out that China’s high-quality development is about people’s livelihood and national competitiveness, and CCIC undertakes an important task in the development of China’s quality infrastructure construction. CCIC itself is an important fruit China has achieved in quality construction during the reform and open-up. Inspection, testing and certification all play an indispensable role in the development of China’s economy, making a significant contribution to China’s development. However, with China’s power improving, we face more international challenges. Under this circumstance, CCIC and CQC should fully undertake their responsibilities, make use of technical advantages to carry out inspection, testing and certification as well as standardization to enhance the international influence of China and themselves.
Mr. Xu Zengde extended a warm welcome to the delegation, indicating that CCIC would, under the guidance of SASAC’s (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council) strategy, enhance strategic cooperation with the power industry. It will make use of developing opportunities and actively coordinate with central SOE (state-owned enterprises) to promote the idea of “inspecting domestic goods by domestic bodies”. It will take advantage of the “national team“ and support China’s “go global” strategy. CQC, as a key section of CCIC, one of the two group brands, ranks high in domestic influence and business revenue in the industry. It is hoped that CQC and relevant departments of CCIC can reach more cooperation with other power businesses.
Ms. Lu Mei gave a comprehensive introduction to the basic situation and achievements of CQC, as well as their work in IEC and its affiliated programs.
The participants also communicated on relevant work and further ideas in the field of conformity assessment, as well as on other issues of cooperation.
The delegation also visited CQC’s data center, business departments and exhibition hall, getting to know CQC’s business procedures, information construction and development history of the certification industry.
