From December 8 to 15, 2019, China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) attend the China Pavilion at the UN Climate Change Conference in Madrid, Spain. The event was hosted by the Department of Climate Change of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. Song Xiangdong, Deputy Managing Director of CQC, delivered a keynote speech on the accounting and data quality control of non-carbon dioxide greenhouse gas emissions at the "International experience and domestic practice of non-carbon dioxide greenhouse gas emissions". During the event, CQC delegation reported to the leader of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on its work, future priorities and suggestions in addressing climate change, especially in the construction of the national carbon market. Meanwhile, exchanges for the above contents have been conducted with Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development of Tsinghua University, the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC), Environmental Defense Fund, BP Group, the Office of Strategy and Initiative of the International Energy Agency and other domestic and international organizations.
